WhatsApp Photo Filter Rolling out Soon On Android Devices

According to the reports, Facebook owned messaging app WhatsApp is testing photo filters on Android. iPhone and IOS users are already using this feature on their devices which was released two months ago in June, the company is in final stages of testing this feature and seems to be rolling it out soon for Android users.

Android Police said WhatsApp beta version 2.17.297 had photo filters which were removed in the following update 2.17.298.

The feature will work almost similar to IOS, you can use the feature when you send message or photo to individual or group. After selecting the media file you wish to send, you just scroll up to see five options in photo filters such as; Pop, Cool, Film, B&W and Chrome.

You may wish to try the photo filter feature by downloading the APK file from APK Mirror and download Android version 2.17.297.

There is also a leak about another WhatsApp feature which will let users post status updates with colourful backgrounds—reported by Android Police.

WhatsApp is continuously updating its features, yesterday it was reported that the company is testing bank transfers, bill payment system in the app. The system uses UPI Unified Payments Interface which allows users to make bank to bank quick transfers.
