WhatsApp Ready to Launch the Dark Mode Feature

WhatsApp is all set to launch the much-awaited Dark Mode Feature and as per reports some of its users have already tested the mentioned mode.

According to the recent reports by WABetaInfo, a blog that keeps a check on the developments of WhatsApp, (which is a Facebook-owned social messaging platform) is presently working on launching the dark mode. But, the feature is all set to be launched for some users who are making use of the Android Beta version of the app.

It is pertinent to mention that the Dark Mode feature is still under the development phase and the official release date has not yet been announced.

In addition to this, the iOS dark theme is also almost ready for launch. But, as per a tweet shared by the blog, it indicates the gradual launch of the Dark Mode feature for the iOS users, but it is still under process and is not stable.

The site further detailed that it is something that WhatsApp can fix in the span of 15 minutes, the issue is that there is no clarity that when the company intends to do it.

The update has been designed for decreasing the screen glare by replacing the light coloured background and the message bubbles with darker colours.

The Dark Mode makes it much easier for viewing the messages in low light conditions, while also barring the app from consuming too much battery.

Many more famous applications have already got the dark mode feature, which includes the Facebook Messenger app.

Some of the users of the WhatsApp have already found a way of unlocking the much-anticipated feature by exploiting a bug within the Android application.

The method was extensively shared all over the social media back in early December, which involves sending of a YouTube link to contact with the application.
