Worldwide used application WhatsApp is soon going to introduce a new storage management tool. It is one of the largest media sharing platforms currently. Therefore, it carries a lot of pictures, videos, GIFs, and memes that are being shared. The shared and received media somehow piles and takes a big chunk from your mobile’s storage and cleaning up the unwanted media is very difficult.
So in order to provide ease to the users, WhatsApp decided to roll out a new management tool. The company claims that this will make it easier and manageable to clean up the unwanted media by providing users an option to identify, select, and bulk delete files.
According to the details, the new tool compiles together all the large files and media that you have received, so the users can now delete them at once. Moreover, it sorts files by size in descending order through which the user can decide what to delete first. In order to avoid any accidental deletions, the new tool will show a preview of the media that you wish to delete.
All you need to do is, go to Settings, click on Storage and Data, and later select Manage Storage. This is how you can access the feature.
On the other hand, if a user does not want to save any media that he/she received then they turn off WhatsApp’s default autosave from the settings.
