WhatsApp will soon allow users to share photos with high quality

WhatsApp can be considered among the most popular apps available for instant messaging. Most users rely on WhatsApp for daily interactions and conversations. In the past couple of months, the company has added various features to the app. These features have improved the user experience. However, besides all these features, we all know that sharing images on WhatsApp is a big compromise on quality. Since the images are heavily compressed.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, the company is working on a new feature that will enable users to send original quality photos. The new feature won’t comprise the quality of images. Thankfully, users will now be able to share high-quality photos on WhatsApp.

The latest information was fetched from testing in the most recent version 2.23.2.11 for Android of the WhatsApp beta app. A new Setting icon will show at the top of the drawing tool menu while sharing the images. The Settings icon will be presented with the option of ‘Photo Quality.’ When this option is turned on, the users will be able to share high-quality images. However, it might be not available for videos.

Currently, users are provided with three different options when sharing images. These options are Auto, Data-Saver, and Best Quality. The main difference between these options is that the last two serve a minimal purpose. When it comes to resolution, the images shared using the Data-Server mode are sent in 0.9 MP. On the other hand, the Best Quality mode sent the images with 1.4 MP resolution. Given the tech advancements, images of such low-quality offer no use to the users.

As of now, we have no clue when the such feature will be introduced. Since the feature is under-development. So, it will require some time before arriving for all users.
