WhatsApp’s will now let you login on multiple devices through ‘companion mode’
WhatsApp is surely an amazing platform to use, but as we speak of keeping track of its chats when moving from one device to another, it’s totally a headache. But it sounds like Apple has a solution for this issue. The platform aims to let users use it on multiple platforms with the latest feature, companion mode. This latest mode will allow you to access your account on more than one device.
WhatsApp provides the facility of end-to-end encrypted chats, which makes it safer to use in comparison with other platforms. WhatsApp provides the facility of its usage on the web, and through the service of Wi-Fi, you can access your chats anywhere, even if you are travelling. WhatsApp is providing this facility by avoiding the services of iMessage.
Also, WhatsApp allows the installation of the app on one device at a time. If you are using two different devices, maybe you are travelling, or maybe you want it on your tablet, you’re not able to install it on that.
WhatsApp tested this feature among beta users during the past year, and now it’s available to beta testers for Android devices (via WABetaInfo). As for now, this feature requires the other device to be an Android device. In any case, if your rooted device is an iOS device, your Android device is accessible through that.
To experience this feature, you need to download the latest version of WhatsApp beta from the Google Play Store. After installing the app, go to Link a device in the settings menu, and you can scan your QR code to connect the other device.
For this feature, you are able to connect up to four devices. You can also link up your workspace PC if you like to respond to your chats through keyboards.
