Users could soon edit contacts within the Android version of WhatsApp

We got to hear about a new feature of WhatsApp almost every other week. Now, some recent pieces of information suggest that a new feature is on its way for the Android version of the app. With the new feature, users can now edit their contacts without leaving the app.

The latest information was shared by WABeta. Currently, the feature s in the beta testing phase. One thing to notice here is that if you wish to enroll in the beta program for the Android app, then you have to wait since it is full. Just wait patiently for the feature to arrive publicly on the Android version of the app.

The new feature will enable Android users to edit contacts within the WhatsApp app

Currently, WhatsApp will direct you to your system’s default contact app when you try to edit a contact. There isn’t really a way to just update your WhatsApp contacts because it is so closely related to your system’s contacts.do note that this feature is already available with the iOS version of the app.

Well, the new feature might not sound big to some users. However, it can save users some time. Once the feature rolls out, users will have to tap on the edit contact button. A UI will appear within the application. Just enter the details and you are free from the hassle of switching between the apps. Currently, there is no information regarding the public release of this new feature.
