Windows 11 Moment 3 Update Is Coming Soon

Microsoft seems to be one step further in the development of Windows 11 Moment 3. Rumor has it that the Windows team is in the process of preparing the finished update for Windows Insiders in the beta channel. This brings us closer to the final release for all users.

This is reported by the online magazine Neowin, referring to information published by the Twitter user PhantomOfEarth.

Behind the term, “moment update” is a function update that Microsoft starts apart from the major annual version updates. These moment updates are feature drops that are released multiple times over the course of a year, bringing new features or changes to the operating system.

Moment 2 is coming soon for everyone

Instead of releasing two major updates per year, as was the case in the days of Windows 10, Microsoft has now moved to this new system for Windows 11. The first Moment update was released in October 2022, and now the company is preparing to release Moment 2 either later this month or in March.

Internally, Microsoft is already working on Moment 3 and Moment 4. Moment 3 is rumored to be coming in May/June. The preparations for this are in full swing. Besides revealing that this update will soon be available to Windows Insiders in the beta channel, leaker PhantomOfEarth also shared on Twitter an overview of the features Microsoft is planning for the Moment 3 update. So the ability to control RGB accessories on Windows 11 without having to use third-party apps is on the way. In addition, support for more languages for live captions should start.
