Windows 11 Release Date Is Expected In a Couple Of Weeks?

Windows 11

There have been rumors and reports for a long time that Windows 11 will officially appear at the end of October. That wouldn’t be surprising either, as it would be a typical Windows release. Microsoft should soon provide clarity itself and give an appointment.

Windows 10 was released in the summer of 2015, but before that Microsoft usually chose a date in late October or early November to press the big red button. In the case of Windows 11, speculation has been going on for weeks. As such, Microsoft always hesitates as long as possible because, after all, there can always be last-minute problems and postponements.

But after everything you hear or leak from Redmond to the public, the finalization of Windows 11 is actually only a matter of form. According to the insiders, Windows 11 has been more or less finished for a long time. Recently, there were also concrete indications that development is turning into the home straight, so Microsoft switched from the dev channel to the beta channel with Windows 11 at the end of July, nothing has changed in the build and only minor changes have been made since then.

“Bet” on October 19, 2021

The usually well-informed Windows Central editor Zac Bowden currently writes on Twitter that an announcement of the date is more or less imminent: “I have heard that MS will announce the date for the general release in the next week or two weeks ( GA; General Availability) of Windows 11. A ‘final build’ is expected to be released in mid-September. If I bet I would bet that the GA date is October 19. I think we will see it soon enough.”

Microsoft is apparently sure that the (internally) available Windows 11 version is stable and ready enough to be generally released. But that does not mean that work on it will end with the release, as Bowden emphasized in a follow-up tweet. Because he writes that Microsoft will fix bugs even afterward – via cumulative updates.
