With a 120Hz OLED display and a UDC camera, the Nubia Z60 Ultra was introduced

The Nubia Z60 Ultra by ZTE is now official in the Chinese market. Reportedly, it is the third smartphone by the company that comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Previously, the company debuted the gaming smartphones, i.e., the Red Magic 9 Pro and Red Magic 9 Pro+, with the same chipset. Similar to its predecessor, the Z60 Ultra features top-notch camera features. For this reason, it can be considered a direct competitor to the OnePlus 12, the iQOO 12 Pro, the Xiaomi 14 Pro, and the Relame GT 5 Pro.

Features of the Nubia Z60 Ultra

The display of the smartphone offers a truly full-screen viewing experience. It features slim bezels. An under-display camera instead of a display cutout can be found on the Nubia Z60 Ultra, which is based on the company’s 5th-generation under-display camera technology. It can provide improved camera performance even though it is an under-display camera.

There are four color variations available: black, silver, white, and blue for the Starry Sky Collector’s Edition. It is thought that Van Gogh’s famous Starry Night painting served as inspiration for the latter. It also boasts a dustproof and water-resistant IP68-rated chassis. When it comes to display, the Nubia Z60 Ultra features a 6.8-inch BOE Q9+ OLED display. It offers a 1.5K resolution of 2480 x 1116 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. An in-screen fingerprint scanner can also be found on the device.

Other Specifications and Camera details

As already mentioned, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Nubia Z60 Ultra packs a 6,000mAh silicone carbon anode battery with support for 80W wired charging. The device has no support for wireless charging. Reportedly, the battery can hold more energy without increasing the weight of the smartphone.

In addition to this, a triple camera setup comprising a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom can be found on the back. Each of the three cameras can shoot 4K video at 120 frames per second and has optical image stabilization (OIS). From the software perspective, the device runs on My OS-based Android 14.

Other connectivity features include support for dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-frequency GPS, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, and a USB-C port. The Nubia Z60 Ultra comes in four storage configurations. These include 8GB of RAM + 256 GB of storage, 12 GB of RAM + 256 GB of storage, 12 GB of RAM + 512 GB of storage, and 16 GB of RAM + 1 TB of storage options.
