With the Mate 60 series, Huawei might debut its own Dynamic Island
As per some leaked pieces of information, the Chinese smartphone company Huawei is going to introduce the pill-shaped punch hole once again. Previously, the company used the above-mentioned feature in the Mate 40 and P40 series that was introduced in 2020. As of now, the company will introduce the Mate 60 series with dual cameras and 3D ToF sensors split from the bezel.
Notably, the Mate 60 series will debut in Fall 2023. This will also be the first time Huawei introduces its version of the iPhone 14 Pro series’ centrally located dual front camera. When it comes to the dual camera setup, a ToF sensor is definitely not a new feature for the company’s flagships. The company initially introduced this series with the Mate 30 series back in 2019. Besides this, the company has also introduced this feature on the P series for a considerably shorter time period.
The main difference between the previous setup and the current setup is the location. Previously, it was presented on the side or behind a notch in the previous versions of the Mate series. Last year, with the release of the iPhone 14 series, the Cupertino-based tech company Apple introduced an aesthetically appealing software feature termed Dynamic Island. In this way, the company utilized the maximum from the cutout. It is anticipated that Huawei could bring something alike. It might develop apps and notifications to maximize and use this very unimportant area for clients.
