WoW Classic: Blizzard Leaks Wrath of the Lich King Release Date

Blizzard itself is heating up the rumors about the release date of the second WoW Classic expansion “Wrath of the Lich King”. A possible release date was briefly shown on the game’s official website – September 26, 2022. So far, the game developer spoke of a release in 2022 but did not go into further detail.

However, the internal leak now allowed the date to be set and the gates to Northrend could be opened in about two months. For Blizzard, Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK) is the second expansion remastered for the World of Warcraft Classic. The title was originally released in November 2008. To this day, it remains one of the most popular expansions for online role-playing games alongside Burning Crusade (BC). The Wayback Machine remembers: Blizzard is responsible for the leak

WotLK vs. Dragonflight: Classics vs. New Hope

In addition to the legendary fight against the Lich King in the raid for Icecrown Citadel (Icecrown Citadel), Wrath of the Lich King represents the introduction of the death knight class and the profession of inscription with a simultaneous increase of the maximum level to level 80 A total of nine raids and 16 dungeons have been released over the course of the expansion.

For PvP players, WotLK is different from that for the new PvP zone Wintergrasp, complete with destructible buildings and siege weapons. A release of the Classic expansion in late September makes sense when you consider that Blizzard will begin its next main game expansion in November or December. World of Warcraft Dragonflight aims to set the course for a better WoW experience.

Customizable mounts, a new talent system, and a focus on professions and crafting will define the continued success of the MMORPG, alongside an improved user interface and the introduction of the Dracthyr class and race.
