X Twitter Voice and Video Calls Feature Is Now Rolling Out

The social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has rolled out a new feature that allows users to make voice and video calls. This update was announced by Elon Musk, the owner of the platform, who stated that X will now offer voice and video calling functionalities to its users, elevating the platform’s capability beyond text-based communication.

This newly introduced feature enables users to call each other via audio or video, adding a more personal touch to the interactions on X. The update began rolling out recently, allowing users globally to experience the new calling features. Upon the rollout, users received a notification on the app, informing them of the new audio and video calling capabilities.

Elon Musk’s ambition extends towards making X an “everything app,” aiming to stay competitive by continuously enhancing the platform with new features such as audio and video calling, as reported on August 31. The addition of voice and video calls appears to be a part of this broader vision to expand the platform’s functionalities and user engagement levels.

Interestingly, the rollout of this feature also caters to the Premium subscribers of X, providing them with an opportunity to interact using their voice and face, thereby transcending the conventional text-based communication that the platform was initially known for.

This update marks a significant step towards enhancing user interaction and engagement on X, making the platform more versatile and personal for its global user base.
