Xiaomi 12 Expected To Release In December

The Chinese manufacturer has already officially announced the Xiaomi 12, which will be the first smartphone with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. So far, the official release date of the upcoming flagship was still unknown.

The Leaker Digital Chat Station, which is quite well known on the Chinese social web, has now predicted that Xiaomi could launch its new Xiaomi 12 series on December 28th. In his Weibo post published on Friday, December 3rd, the leaker states that Xiaomi should launch the L3A, L3, and L2 models. The shortened model numbers refer to the Xiaomi 12, the Xiaomi 12X, and the Xiaomi 12 Pro.

Official Unveiling Probably In December

It’s no big surprise that the Xiaomi 12 is slated to hit the market in December. After all, that was the case with the Xiaomi Mi 11 last year. But the fact that three, not two, models are being launched is new information. Xiaomi 12X as a compact smartphone with less power?

According to other rumors, the Xiaomi 12 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, but not the smaller 12X. This should receive the Snapdragon 870 chip. It would then be a kind of scaled-down version of the base flagship that would have a larger 5000 mAh battery that accepts 67 watts of charge rather than 100 watts like the Xiaomi 12.

The information I found is ultimately quite confusing, though, as is often the case. Especially since Xiaomi is to launch the Xiaomi 12 Ultra and Ultra Enhanced series shortly afterward and it is easy to lose track of the different models and their different code names.
