Galaxy Tab S8 Official Images Released Two Cameras And Notch Noticeable

Samsung has new high-end tablets with Android in the pipeline, with which they want to compete with the iPad Pro. The first official marketing renders of the new Galaxy Tab S8 series are now available, showing, among other things, an “Ultra” model with a camera cutout.

Upper leaker Evan Blass personally published the first official marketing images of the Galaxy Tab S8 series, although initially only images of the front can be seen. As usual, Blass did not reveal where the images came from, but they are likely to come from the environment of a US network operator, so it is very likely that it is actually a render from an official source.

Ultra with notch, plus with dual front camera

Pale shows both the base model Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and the better equipped Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, where the most noticeable difference, at least on the front, is a slightly wider display frame in the base model. Under the hood is probably the Snapdragon 888 from Qualcomm’s model range this year.

At first glance, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is more interesting. Samsung is obviously trying to stretch the display as close as possible to the edges of the case. So that the device can still carry a front camera, Samsung even uses a “notch”, i.e. a recess on one of the long sides of the display. Apparently, two front cameras are housed there, the use of which is not yet known. In addition, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen1 with more power is probably installed here.

The Galaxy Tab S8 Plus also apparently has two front cameras, one on each short and one on the long side of the display. Apparently, Samsung just wants to offer better optics for video calls without having to accept losses due to a poorly positioned camera. Samsung probably wants to cover a wide range of price points, whereby the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra in particular is likely to be extremely expensive.
