Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro launches

Here we have the two gadgets of 2018 from Xiaomi, Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro as the first devices of 2018. However, there were rumors around the web that Xiaomi might not launch Redmi Note series.

In earlier leaks, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 release date and specifications were outlined, some leaks have shown the official rendering of the devices and price estimations. Now everything is confirmed from price and specifications point of view.

Redmi Note 5 Pro Specifications

The major features which set the device different from others are the Redmi Note 5 Pro dual cameras, improved processor and 6GB of RAM.

However, the display is same in both variants Redmi Note 5 and Pro, having 5.99-inch full HD+ display powered with Snapdragon 636 chipset. Dual camera setup at the back shows some resemblance with iPhone X, 12MP + 5MP duo with f/2.2 and f/2.0 aperture range respectively.

However, the front selfie snapper is the powerful 20MP Sony IMX376 with LED selfie-flash. IT comes with Face Unlock feature as well but the feature is not yet present in the handset it will come in the later OTA update in March 2018.

The battery is 4000mAh which remains the same as other Xiaomi models, there is no fast charging capability in the phone either, and there are also two variants in this model with 4GB and 6GB RAM option with 64GB internal storage.

The price for the device in India is Rs. 13,999 for 4GB and Rs. 16,999 for 6GB variant. The expected price in Pakistan could be Rs. 24,000 to Rs.25,000 for 4GB variant.

Redmi Note 5 Specifications and Price

The Redmi Note 5 is equipped with the same processor as Pro version but it comes in 3GB and 4GB variant. The display is same 5.99-inch full HD+, but this version has less impressive selfie shooter which is 5MP and the rear camera is 12MP with f/2.2 aperture.

Price in India for Redmi Note 5 is Rs. 9,999 for 3GB variant and Rs. 11,999 for 4GB variant, the phone comes in four color variants including Black, Gold, Lake Blue and Rose Gold.

The price in Pakistan is expected to be nearly Rs.17,000 to Rs.18,000 for 3GB variant and Rs.20,000 to Rs.21,000 for 4GB variant.
