Xiaomi Registers Trademark After Xiaomi 14 Pro Dragon Crystal Glass Debuts

Xiaomi has recently filed for multiple trademarks under the name “Xiaomi Dragon Crystal,” covering a wide range of international categories including scientific instruments, rubber products, and kitchen sanitary ware.

These trademarks are currently awaiting substantive examination. Notably, the latest Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphone is the first to feature Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass, a material that has significantly enhanced durability, boasting a tenfold increase in drop resistance and a 1.32 times improvement in scratch resistance.

A report from a Chinese source has noted that according to official data released by Xiaomi, the hardness of Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass surpasses that of Huawei’s Kunlun 2nd Generation Glass and Apple’s Ceramic Shield. The Vickers hardness (HV) of several mainstream smartphone glasses is as follows: Xiaomi Dragon Crystal (860HV0.025), Huawei Kunlun 2nd Generation (830HV0.025), Apple Ceramic Shield (814HV0.025), and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus2 (670HV0.025).

This development in smartphone glass technology indicates Xiaomi’s commitment to enhancing the durability and longevity of its devices. The introduction of Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass sets a new standard in the industry, potentially influencing future designs and material choices in smartphone manufacturing.
