Xiaomi 14 Pro Launches End Of October With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Xiaomi apparently doesn’t want to take much time introducing its latest top smartphones. The launch is supposed to take place just one day after the presentation of the CPU from Qualcomm, which will probably be used in the new Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro.

Qualcomm is introducing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 shortly beforehand

Qualcomm is hosting this year’s Snapdragon Summit in just under two weeks. The event in Hawaii will take place from October 24th to 26th, 2023, and will be alongside the new “super chips” of the Snapdragon from Apple should also include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The new high-end SoC will most likely once again form the technical basis for a large number of upper-class smartphones – including those from Xiaomi. As we can now hear from Chinese sources, Xiaomi is planning its own launch event for the first day after the end of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit.

Specifically, it is planned that the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will be announced for the Chinese market on October 27, 2023. The two new top smartphones would then be the first models to come onto the market with the new high-end chip from Qualcomm, which was introduced just two days earlier.

Xiaomi has often been the first to offer devices with the latest Qualcomm platforms in the past. Because the Chinese manufacturer purchases large quantities directly and works closely with Qualcomm, it can secure early access to the latest hardware.

According to previous reports, Xiaomi’s two new top models will once again feature Leica-optimized cameras, offering three different focal lengths. In addition, Android 14 is likely to be used here in the form of the MIUI 15 interface. According to rumors, Xiaomi wants to equip at least the Pro model with a titanium housing frame, as has recently been used in the more expensive models of the Apple iPhone 15.
