Yoshi and the Mysterious Book: Nintendo shows the launch trailer

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is now available for the Switch 2 and lets Nintendo’s cult dinosaur set off on a sweet adventure in a magical book. The official launch trailer with many new excerpts from the game is now available to watch.
Adventures in children’s book style
The story of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book begins with a very special encyclopedia falling out of the blue on the Yoshi island. The book goes by the name Enzo and can even speak, although Enzo suffers from memory loss. To help him, Yoshi literally jumps into the book to explore the different worlds of the individual chapters and search for hidden information. Information about the places and creatures discovered is recorded by Enzo.
There is a lot to discover
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book features classic 2D side-scrolling with a hand-drawn picture book style. Yoshi can use his usual abilities, such as eating creatures, throwing eggs, stomping and floating in the air for a short time. In addition to simple platforming passages, the game primarily focuses on puzzles and exploration. The many different creatures in the book worlds are crucial, as they change the environment or temporarily give Yoshi special effects. The aim is to motivate players to experiment as they discover the different levels.
