Netflix has begun its crackdown on password-sharing policy in serval regions. Besides this, the streaming service has introduced new subscription plans with ad support. Furthermore, the company has allowed users to share passwords with an outsider by paying a fee. As of now, the company has introduced a new feature for the users whose profiles were impacted by the password-sharing crackdown.
Notably, Netflix has introduced the new Profile Transfer feature. According to the available information, users can now transfer their profiles to an existing account thus eliminating the requirement of a new account. Therefore, you have the ability to move all your profile information to that previous account if you are reactivating an old Netflix account because you were kicked out of your friend’s account when the password-sharing limitations went into force. If you don’t have an older account to return to, you are able to move your profile to someone else’s account.
Well, this is an addition to the previously introduced Profile transfer feature since users can conveniently transfer their profiles to a new account including all the information. One and only difference here is that now users can merely transfer any profile to any Netflix account. The information like watch history, watchlist, personalized recommendations, saved games, and other settings will be transferred to the new Netflix Profile.
In order to transfer a profile, go to the “Transfer Profile” option. This option is located in the dropdown menu on the homepage. Follow the instructions given on the screen. Your profile will be transferred.
