In different markets, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will be more expensive
According to some recent pieces of information, the Pixel 8 is expected to cost more in the US market. However, in some other markets, both members of the Pixel 8 series might arrive with an expensive price tag. This information was shared by tipster Roland Quandt.
Notably, the tipster shared the price tag of both smartphones for the UK market. Besides the Pixel 8 series, the tipster shared some information about the Pixel Watch 2 as well. According to him, the Pixel 8 will cost £699, whereas the Pixel 8 Pro will come at a price tag of £999. However, the Pixel Watch 2 will be priced at £349.
Well, if this information is correct, then the Pixel 8 will be £100 more costly than the previous version. In comparison, the Pro model will cost £150 more than the previous version. Whereas the Pixel Watch 2 will be £10 more expensive than the previous model, The Pixel 8 will, however, cost $699 in the US, which is $100 higher than the prior model. The price of the Pixel 8 Pro is said to be the same as the Pixel 7 Pro, i.e., $899.
The price information for the UK market suggests that other European markets will also be impacted by this. It could mean that the Pixel 8 series could be more expensive in the EU region than in other markets. On the whole, the price depends on the market, so it could be different based on different countries.
One thing is certain: the Pixel 8 will cost more because it is in the domestic market of Google. Therefore, it is reasonable to anticipate price increases everywhere compared to the Pixel 7. Do remember that the Pixel 8 series and the Pixel Watch 2 are set to be announced on October 4. Until now, we knew a lot about the upcoming devices, but it will be far better to hear from the company’s end.
