Which devices will receive Android 14 updates?

Yesterday, Google officially announced Android 14. Now the biggest question is which devices will receive the Android 14 updates. Well, obviously, the updates will be rolled out to Pixel devices. According to reports, Pixel 5a and the latest devices will receive the updates.

From this perspective, Pixel devices such as the Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet will receive the updates. However, the latest Pixel 8 series comes with Android 14 pre-installed. It indicates that the only device to be updated without a Tensor processor is the Pixel 5a. Previously, Pixel 5a was reported to receive updates until August 2024. From this perspective, it might receive Android 15 updates as well. It all depends on when Android 15 is actually released.  

What are the unique attributes of Android 14?

Well, Android 14 doesn’t include major changes. The company has added some modifications to the lock screen. Users can customize the settings of the clock. The settings can be merged with the Material You theme. Additionally, the battery life panel in Settings will have some adjustments. putting the time on the screen front and center for you, along with a few other changes.

Which other devices will receive Android 14?

Currently, there is no official information on which devices will receive the Android 14 updates. In the meantime, several OEMs have begun the Android 14 beta program. Last month, OnePlus debuted OxygenOS 14 beta. On the other hand, Samsung has released the fifth beta for One UI 6, which is based on Android 14. From this perspective, it is possible that both companies might begin rolling out the updates in the upcoming months. There are no details about OEMs like Xiaomi, Honor, OPPO, ASUS, and others. In the future, we will come to know which devices from these OEMs will receive the updates.
