Xiaomi Launches Redmi 15 with 7000mAh Battery and Full HD Display Under €180

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi will soon launch the Redmi 15 a new edition of its cheap low-end smartphone. The Xiaomi Redmi 15 should offer a full HD display and a large 7000mAh battery for just under 180 euros.

Xiaomi continues low-end series with a new model

The Redmi 15 is one thing above all: cheap. Xiaomi tries to operate the entry -level market, which is why you have to make some compromises. This includes that the device optionally comes onto the market in a version without 5G support. Apart from the platform, the two variants should at most differentiate between the memory. The focus of the equipment is a 6.9-inch IPS display with 2340×1080 pixels resolution, up to 144 Hertz refresh rate and a recess located centrally below the upper edge for the front camera, which dissolves with 13 megapixels. There are three camera sensors on the back, with the main camera working here with 108 megapixels. However, this only applies to the 4G variant.

In the 5G model, Xiaomi installs another camera configuration with a 50-megapixel main sensor and a macrocamera with two megapixels, despite the identical design. On the front, the selfie camera is slimmed down to eight megapixels. The reason for this is the use of the Snapdragon 6S Gen 3 of Qualcomm in the 5G model, the higher costs of which you want to cushion. Unfortunately, we do not yet know which processor platform the manufacturer uses in the 4G version-but it is an octacore chip with a maximum of 2.0 gigahertz clock rate. The processor of the 5G model reaches a maximum of 2.3 gigahertz with two of its eight cores.

The RAM is always eight gigabytes, while the internal flash memory holds 256 GB. Xiaomi sets a highlight in the RedMi 15 battery, because it has a capacity of a remarkable 7000mAh and can be loaded quickly with up to 33 watts. The further equipment of the cheap new Xiaomi smartphone also includes NFC and Bluetooth 5.4. Android, of course, runs as the operating system. When exactly and at what prices Xiaomi the Redmi 15 brings on the market is still unclear in detail. The first dealers call prices from 170 to 180 euros for the 4G version. The 5G-compatible edition should only be slightly more expensive with the changed camera equipment.
