Ted Lasso: Apple TV shows first teaser for season 4, starting in August

Ted Lasso is one of the most successful series on Apple TV, but fans have been waiting for new episodes for around three years. Now it’s clear: Season 4 will continue in August, in which Ted will face a completely new challenge. A first teaser trailer sets the mood for the consequences.
New challenges
Of course, Ted Lasso’s return is not included, as the series was originally only designed to last three seasons. The great success with viewers and critics as well as Jason Sudeikis’ willingness to return to the title role ultimately persuaded Apple to commission a fourth season. This ties in with the actual end of the series, but at the same time it is also a new start: After Ted Lasso helped the AFC Richmond men’s team to the hoped-for sporting success at the end of season 3 and then traveled to his home in Kansas, he is now returning to Richmond. In the future, he will coach a women’s football team in the English second division there. According to the official announcement, Ted and his team will break new ground and take risks that they could never have imagined before.
See you in August
In addition to Emmy Award winner Jason Sudeikis in the lead role, other well-known actors will also return to their familiar roles in season 4. These include Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift. The focus on a new team also makes room for some new additions, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely. Ted Lasso Season 4 premieres August 5, 2026 on Apple TV. The total of ten new episodes will appear weekly from this date, so that the finale will be broadcast on October 7th.
