Netflix: These are the new films and series in September 2026
A number of new films and series are waiting for Netflix subscribers in September. New additions include the second seasons of The Gentlemen and Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 as well as the comedy Best of the Best. There is also live sport to watch.
Fight for the drug empire
After a real highlight with The Last House started on Netflix in August and the first official game scenes from GTA 6 can be seen on the platform, the streaming provider will once again be making some top-class new additions available to its customers in September 2026. Several films complement the library. A number of series sequels will also be included in the program. This includes, among other things, the second season of from September 3rd The Gentlemen.
It begins about a year after the events of the first season. Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass now work together in Bobby Glass’s international drug empire. As they grow the business, both increasingly doubt Bobby’s leadership and must decide whether to stand against him. Paranormal activities and live sports
The second season of also starts on September 17th Stranger Things: Tales from ’85which continues the story of the Hawkins Investigators Club around Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max and Nikki Baxter. After the group uncovers the cause of the strange occurrences in Hawkins in Season 1, a new lead leads to the town’s abandoned silver mines. There the young people encounter another supernatural threat, which is apparently related to the mysterious blue flower that last appeared in the shadow world. As the friends once again juggle between school life, D&D rounds and paranormal investigations, it becomes clear that the events of the first season are part of a larger context.
The range of new films and series is once again supplemented by a number of licensed titles. In September 2026, Dune: Part Two, The Sixth Sense and We Are Your Friends will be included. Sports broadcasts will also start again after the summer break. With the NFL Melbourne Game between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers on September 11th, the streaming platform will show the very first NFL game in history on Australian soil.
