48 megapixels war started after dual, triple and quad cameras
Previous week it was reported that Xiaomi would be the first company to launch 48-mega pixels camera, however, Sony is bringing 48-megapixels camera sensor was reported back in July.
Samsung has also announced its 48-megapixels camera sensor in October which the company was planning to launch in early 2019. Honor has just announced the view 20 which will integrate Sony’s IMX586 sensor and Huawei’s home grownKirin 980 processor with punch-hole selfie camera design expected to unveil next month.
Xiaomi seems to be all ready for 48-megapixels camera launch earlier than anyone else, as previously reported, the chances are that this Xiaomi phone will either be Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 or the Xiaomi Mi 9.
Lin Bin Xiaomi President said, “Tried for a few weeks, not bad! Released in January.” It is being claimed that Xiaomi phone will have a Sony IMX586 image sensor. Also, reports are that Sony image sensor will be released on its Xperia XZ3 at IFA 2018.
The interesting part is Xiaomi, Honor and Huawei all are using the same 48-megapixels camera sensor from Sony, the Sony IMX586 is the real game changer here.
However, Samsung is focused on its own sensors in the megapixels war, the 48-megapixel(Mp) Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 and the 32Mp ISOCELL Bright GD1. The company has announced two sensors simultaneously.
It would be interesting to see all major 48-megapixels camera smartphones would be on one side competing a single Samsung 48-megapixels camera phones, whether Samsung would be able to beat the quality of Sony IMX586 camera sensor or not only the time will tell. We will be getting hands on some of the48-megapixels camera phones soon by next year.
