Recently, we informed our readers that WhatsApp dark mode for Android has launched. Users can manually add dark mode. Also, they can set WhatsApp to match whatever state their phone is in, changing the mode with the phone mode.
Presently, that feature is also in beta and it almost takes a month for features in beta to launch for the public. What this means is that only the users who use WhatsApp beta via the iOS TestFlight app will be able to access the dark mode feature.

Users can go to WhatsApp settings on WhatsApp beta to enable the dark mode. Those who are not on WhatsApp beta would have to wait.

The dark mode of WhatsApp uses dark hues rather than completely going black. The new color scheme will be applicable to the chat menu, setting page, calls tab, contact list, and other menus.
