According to a recent leak, the Huawei Mate 60 will include a circular camera island

The Chinese smartphone company Huawei introduced the Mate 50 series last year in September. As of now, we have not come across any such information that indicates that the company will adopt the same release time for this year too. It could possibly mean that the launch of the Mate 60 series is just a matter of a few more weeks.

Just recently, some pieces of information indicated that the upcoming series from Huawei will feature their own Dynamic Island, a concept that was established by Apple. As of now, we have received some information regarding the back of the Mate 60. According to the latest information, the Mate 60 will feature a circular camera island. It will be the same as the one presented on the predecessors. Well, the level of accuracy of this information is vague.

We have come across an image that showcases the back cover mold of the Mate 60. The mold will be used to design the back side of the smartphone. The image shows that the camera island is circular in shape. Moreover, the image indicates that the mold consists of four holes possibly for cameras and some additional holes might accompany the different sensors.

If we compare the raw image with the camera island of the Mate 50, we come to know that the positions of the camera have been changed. Some rumors suggest that the periscope Zoom will feature the new technology. The wireless charging coil region is to be molded in the circle that is below the camera island. Given the processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 appears to be a better option for now, contrary to some earlier rumors that suggested Huawei could forego Qualcomm and adopt an unidentified in-house chipset.
