Amazon unveils the first epic trailer for its flagship series

A new trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has been released ahead of the series launch on Amazon Prime on September 2. The clip takes a deeper look at the upcoming flagship series to be released on Prime Video.

Prime Video just released the latest trailer for Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The earlier glimpses we could see in the first teaser revealed at the beginning of the year were certainly huge and beautiful, this one takes it to another level that Peter Jackson himself would certainly be proud of.

As a reminder, the plot is set in author JRR Tolkien’s Middle-earth, thousands of years before Peter Jackson’s Oscar-winning trilogy, at a time fans, call the Second Age. The teaser remains vague about the plot, but the elven queen Galadriel, played by Morfydd Clark, has a vision that something very bad is going on – and tries to convince Robert Aramayo’s Elrond of it.

The Amazon series promises to be great

“This could be the start of a new era,” a voiceover character in the teaser says, telling the streaming service offers a glimpse into some of Tolkien’s lands that have hitherto been invisible on screen: The elf kingdoms Lindon and Eregion, the dwarf kingdom of Khazad-dûm, the Southlands, the northernmost wasteland, the Sundering Seas, and the island kingdom of Númenór. The highlight of this two-and-a-half-minute trailer comes when Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) has a long fight with Elrond (Robert Aramayo). You can hear Galadriel asking Elrond, “The enemy is still there.

The question is: where? The young Galadriel, “became a tough warrior at the head of the armies of the north”, is determined to track down her brother’s killer. She finds herself at sea with a new character named Halbrand (Charles Vickers). Meanwhile, Charles Edwards plays Celebrimbor, which hardcore LOTR fans will recognize as the elf smith who forged the legendary rings.

Finally, Maxim Baldry plays the infamous Isildur, the ancestor of Aragorn, who eventually defeated Sauron but fell victim to the corrupting power of the One Ring. We let you discover Amazon’s incredible trailer below. We can’t wait to discover the series on Prime on September 2.
