Another lawsuit was filed against Twitter over mass layoffs and unpaid bills

Legal cases and matters for Twitter are growing day by day. Recently, a group of former Twitter contract workers filed a class action lawsuit against the company. The workers have accused the platform of illegally firing them without any prior notice. Besides this, another class action lawsuit by four vendors of the company states that the company has not paid its overdue bills.

The lawsuit by the contract workers is filed in San Francisco federal court. The lawsuit claims that the company fired them without a prior notice of two months which is directed by US and California law. Last year, in mid-November, the company fired thousands of contractual staff. It was right after the company fired more than half of its workforce.

The other lawsuit is filed by four vendors. They assert that the company has not paid overdue bills that are worth $40,000 to $140,000. As per the information from CNN report, the four companies (consulting group YES Consulting and public relations firms Cancomm and Dialogue México, captioning services company White Coat Captioning) have filed the lawsuit in California Northern District Court.

Twitter already has several other lawsuits against it

Well, these two are not just the only lawsuits against the social media company. There are several others. Five cases against the massive layoffs are on the pending list at the San Francisco federal court. One of them is even related to gender discrimination. The company is alleged for firing more female employees in contrast to male employees.

In addition to this, the business is facing legal action from a landlord for unpaid rent. Unpaid invoices to a private jet firm are the subject of a different case. Also, the business is being sued by an event production company for canceling a conference in November without paying the associated invoice.
