Apple might release one more M3-powered device this year

When it comes to personal computers by Apple, the M1 and M2 series chips were quite amazing. The chips featured improved performance and efficiency. For the majority of individuals, it is now simple to recommend laptops containing Apple silicon, such as the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.

Besides this, the company’s catalog of computers also includes the Mac mini and Mac Studio. The list also contains the iMacs, the integrated computing monitors. Well, if any user is interested in Apple’s computer, then he would be happy to learn that the company is working on the M3 chip, and eventually the company might introduce some Macs powered by the M3 chip this year.

As per the information provided by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the company might unveil its M3-powered Macs in October this year. Well, this is what we have learned previously, but the new piece of information here is the arrival of a new Mac, likely the mini, along with the others during the October event.

Apparently, the new Mac was sighted in the testing. Reportedly, the new Mac is powered by the M3 processor. the processor contains ten graphics cores, 24GB of RAM, and eight CPU cores (four efficiency cores and four performance cores). It is believed to be a Mac mini, given the list of its specs. It runs macOS Sonoma 14.1. Reports indicate that the M3 and M2 processors are relatively the same. On the other hand, the M3 Pro and Max variants will be powered with more advanced chipsets.

In accordance with the available information, the company is testing the following Macs with the M3 processor:

  • 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro (powered  by M3 Pro and M3 Max)
  • iMac
  • Mac mini
  • 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air
  • 13-inch MacBook Pro

Currently, there is no information on which of the above-mentioned devices will debut during the October 2023 event scheduled for the M3 Mac reveal.
