Apple will expand the Austin, Texas campus with an investment of $240 million

Apple is a big name in the tech industry. The company has introduced various products. Some of the well-known products include iPhones, iPads, and Macs. The company began constructing its first campus in Austin in 2012. In 2019, the company decided to expand its space. So in 2019, a second campus was added in Austin.  Reportedly, the company has completed the initial phases of its Austin Texas project.

Currently, the tech firm Apple is planning to introduce another campus. It is going to spend a cost of $240 million on the new project. As per the information, the company is planning to expand the campus that is located at 6900 Parmer Lane. These new campuses are termed Capstone Phase Two AC09 and Capstone Phase Two AC07. Reportedly, these projects comprise a four-story and a five-story building. These two buildings will make an addition of around 419,441 square feet of office space.

Both buildings will begin their construction on September 30, 2023, onwards. The expected completion date for this project is the end of March 2025. Furthermore, the reports from MySA indicate that Apple is seeking the help of HKS Architect for both constructions.

In 2019, when Apple decided to expand its space, the major focus was to increase its investments. In addition to this, the company aimed at creating jobs in the US.  Both these points were included in the company’s plan. In that same year, the company stated how contribution by Apple can add to the US economy. The company mentioned that the pre-planned capital expenses as well as investment in American production for around five years will amount to around $75 direct contribution by the company.
