Asus is releasing the Asus Zenfone 8 series. The company sent an invite to Phonearena for the event to be held on May 12 at 1 PM ET (10:30 PM IST).
Asus has also sent a physical invite having a transparent glass with slim side bezels and some text that reads ‘On Performance and Compact.’ It’s now obvious that the company will launch a compact form factor smartphone with powerful internals.
Phonearena stated that the glass cutout is quite small and measures 148 x 69mm, not as small as Apple iPhone 12 Mini (131.5x64mm). But it’s smaller than the Galaxy S21 (151.7 x 71.2mm).
According to the source, it isn’t clear how Asus has named the compact smartphone. It could be vanilla Zenfone 8 similar to Samsung Galaxy S series phones, or it could be like how Apple and Sony do. Whatever it might, we’ll get to know this on May 12.
Since we couldn’t get much about the upcoming Asus Zenfone 8 series, we would have to excuse till we get hands-on more information. Stay tuned.
