Doogee S99: A rugged smartphone with a 64MP night vision camera


A new smartphone has been announced by Doogee, the Doogee S99. This new smartphone is followed by Doogee V30. Where Doogee V30 included an eSIM feature. It was launched by the start of the following month. Given all facts and figures, Doogee is a completely different beast. A 64MP Night Vision camera on the rear is actually included in this rugged phone.

Similar to other Doogee smartphones, Doogee S99 has an interesting design. The rear camera setup is quite unique. Where on the front it has a dewdrop notch. However, the bezels are not the thinnest. Since this is a rugged mobile phone.

On the rear, the device holds three cameras. These comprise of a 108MP main camera, a 16MP ultrawide camera, and a 64MP night vision camera. The ultrawide camera also functions as a macro camera. Whereas the night vision camera is equipped with two infrared lights. Doogee claims that the night vision camera is capable of making everything clear at night. It can capture a precise image in a range of 15 to 20m.

Another important thing to notice here is that the frame of the smartphone is based on metal. The smartphone features a 6.3-inch fullHD+ LCD display. It is fueled by MediaTek Helio G96. It includes 8GB of RAM, expandable up to 15GB via software. In addition to this, the smartphone offers 128GB of storage expandable up to 1TB. Furthermore, the smartphone encloses a large battery. It has a 6,000 mAh battery with 33W of wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

Furthermore, the device is certified for IP68 and IP69K. A sound-mounted fingerprint scanner is also part of the package. Whereas support for GPS and NFC chips is also included.
