Exynos 1330 and Exynos 1380 processors make their appearance in advance of the Galaxy A54 launch

Samsung follows the trend of introducing the latest devices of the new-generation Galaxy A series phones in early Q1 each year. For 2023, Samsung plans to introduce the Galaxy A54 and the Galaxy A74, and other devices. It is expected that at least the upcoming device will feature the new Exynos mid-range processor. Interestingly, the new Exynos mid-range processor has surfaced on the internet.

The Exynos 1380 and Exynos 1330 were speckled in the Bluetooth SIG database. Given the past few months, we have heard much about the Exynos 1380. It appears like Exynos 1330 is relatively new. According to the certification documentation, the Exynos 1380 and Exynos 1330 processors will display support for Bluetooth 5.3. A separate RF chip named Samsung Bluetooth Controller v6 will support Bluetooth. Both chips are reported to be used in Galaxy A, Galaxy F, and Galaxy M series smartphones as well as tablets.

The Galaxy A33 5G and the Galaxy A53 5G are based on the Exynos 1280. So for 2023, we are expecting that Galaxy A34 and the Galaxy A54 will feature the Exynos 1380 processor.

According to the reports, Exynos 1380 will feature two ARM Cortex-A series. These are high-performance CPU cores. Additionally, it could utilize the Mali-series (most likely Mali-G615) GPU. Thus, providing efficient performance compared to the Exynos 1280. Furthermore, a fully integrated 5G modem having support for mmWave and sub-6GHz connectivity could also be a part of it.

However, the Exynos 1330 is a new chipset. As of now, we don’t know which processor it will thrive on. But we can expect it to be a successor to the Exynos 850 or the Exynos 880.  The next-generation mid-range smartphones of South Korean firms could feature advanced cameras, efficient performance, as well as longer battery life.
