Galaxy S22 Make a comeback of Note features

The South Korean Electronics giant Samsung now declares its next unpacked event in February and gives a first preview of its new handsets of the Galaxy S22 line in advance. Photo and video features and the merger with the Note series are the focus.

Samsung’s smartphone head Dr. Roh addresses the public in an official blog post and comments on the upcoming Galaxy S series smartphones for the first time apart from numerous leaks. The Galaxy S22 series is not explicitly featured, but the company should have a few surprises in view of the presentation in a few weeks. However, it remains unclear when exactly the unpacked event will take place – experts expect February 8 or 9, 2022.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked: “Break the rules”.

While Samsung wants to remove itself from the “sea of always the same smartphones and repetitive updates,” Roh alludes to a merger with the Note series, which in and of itself has been stomped out. “We know many of you were surprised when Samsung didn’t release a new Galaxy Note last year. You raved about the lifelike S Pen, which many say is comparable to ink on paper. And we haven’t forgotten those experiences you loved.”

With the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the company could provide a revival complete with S Pen and a matching slot. Although its predecessor Galaxy S21 Ultra was already compatible with the South Korean’s input pen, it could not be recessed in the case in a Note-like manner. “The next-generation Galaxy S is here, combining the best experiences of our Samsung Galaxy into one ultimate device,” TM Roh said.

Lastly, the smartphone boss goes into detail about the cameras of the new flagships, with which users are supposed to “dominate the night” in particular. No more and no less than the “best and brightest photos and videos were ever taken with a cell phone” are promised.

Therefore, it should be clear that the manufacturer will primarily focus on its new Ultra model in February, whereby the Galaxy S22 and S22+ could be the more interesting devices in terms of the price-performance ratio. Whether Samsung manages to “reshape the future of smartphones one more time” is still to be witnessed.
