Samsung has confirmed the date for the presentation of its latest high-end smartphones. The company announced this morning that it is planning the next Galaxy Unpacked event on the very day that has been circulating the rumor mill for months.

The date for the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 with a wider screen has been set. The manufacturer wants to present its latest foldable smartphone on July 22, 2026. Then two more models are likely to appear: the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8. The new smartwatches should also celebrate their premiere.

As Samsung announced via its social media accounts, the next Unpacked event is planned for July 22, 2026. Then “a new form will unfold,” the teaser continues. This clearly means the changed, wider design of the Galaxy Z Fold 8. It goes from a relatively narrow to a significantly wider form factor.

Also a teaser video posted on YouTube makes it more than clear in which direction things will go. A “ticket” is printed out in it, with the top part torn off. The result is a shorter, slightly wider format. Samsung also states the time of the event on its website: it starts at 3 p.m. German time. The pages also reveal what Samsung is planning to do with the market launch of the new devices. Anyone who registers in advance can receive up to 980 euros in advance with trade-in. Specifically, you can get a “exchange bonus” of up to 100 euros and a maximum of 880 euros off the purchase price of the new smartphones with foldable displays if you hand in your old device.

In addition to the new, wider Galaxy Z Fold 8, Samsung is also planning the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which retains the old form factor and is slightly better equipped. There is also the Galaxy Z Flip 8, which is in the classic flip format. Samsung also wants to introduce the Galaxy Watch 9 series and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
