Game Of Thrones Hackers Reportedly Demanding Money

The news circulated recently about the hack of HBO and how episodes of Games of Thrones were stolen. Now the hackers have released emails of around a month from the inbox of one of the executives of HBO. The identification of the executive and the content of the email is not disclosed.

Demand for money was also made by Hackers via a video letter to Richard  Plepler CEO of HBO. As per the report, the figure demanded was obscured.

The letter read “We successfully breached into your huge network. … HBO was one of our difficult targets to deal with but we succeeded (it took about 6 months),”

Also, hackers claimed that HBO was their 17th target and only three targets failed to pay so far.

1.5TB of information is stolen by hackers from HBO which includes upcoming episodes of “Ballers” and “Room 104.” Warnings were given to more content that would be released soon.

HBO officials said that they are reviewing forensic of the incident.

“While it has been reported that a number of emails have been made public, the review to date has not given us a reason to believe that our email system as a whole has been compromised,” HBO said in a statement
