Garmin Venu brings two new smartwatches – The Venu 2 and Venu 2S

Garmin brings is new smartwatch – the Venu and the Venu 2S. Both have the same price and features but vary in sizes.

Garmin introduced its second generation of the Venu smartwatch, which comes in two sizes: (1) the Venu 2 which has a 1.3” display + 45mm diameter + 416 x 416 px resolution and (2) the Venu 2S has a 1.1” display + 40mm diameter + 360 x 360 px resolution.

Both smartwatches are protected by Gorilla Glass 3, the bezel around the glass is stainless steel, and the body of the watch is a fiber-reinforced polymer. Both watches are rated at 5 ATM water resistance.

The Garmin Venu 2 is said to have a strong battery that could last up to 11 days in smartwatch mode, whereas the Venu 2S could last for 10 days. Charging these gadgets is fast – 10 minutes add 1 day of smartphone mode or 1 hour of GPS tracking.

Noting the key points about the Garmin smartwatch, GSM Arena noted:

A key selling point of the Venu line is the GPS tracking and the endurance of that has gone up as well – up to 8/7 hours on the Venu 2, up from 6 hours on the original model (and that’s with music playing).

The device also supports GLONASS and Galileo and has a compass and a barometric altimeter. This smartwatch also comes with the new Elevate V4 optical heart rate sensor.

The new Garmin Venu smartwatch has new High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) exercise modes, including TABATA, AMOM, AMRAP, and more. It also features hiking, indoor climbing, and bouldering.

That this watch also features a more advanced sleep tracker, calculating a sleeping score based on heart rate, respiration, blood oxygen, and stress. It also has a feature from its predecessor – 24/7 heart rate and respiration rate tracking, blood-oxygen saturation monitoring, stress tracking, plus hydration and women’s health features.

Moreover, you can receive text messages from your connected phone, calendar reminders, weather information, and more. Android users can also reply from the watch. Owners of this device could download watch faces, widgets, and apps from Connect IQ. This device also brings Garmin Pay, so you don’t need a wallet when going out.

It is also said that you can store up to 650 songs from Spotify, Amazon or Deezer. Storage is also increased from the original 3GB to 7GB.
