Gazelle resumes its trade-in program for smartphones and tablets

Gazelle – the trade-in provider – earlier announced that it’s exiting the trade-in business. But now the company plans to stay a little more. The company has started accepting trade-ins from April 5th.

The company is again accepting online trade-ins of iPhones, Samsung phones, Google devices, iPads, and other tablets on its website. The update came from The Verge.

Gazelle came as a leading trade-in provider. The business got a hit when the US mobile phone business underwent major shifts away from two-year contracts. Following the decline, the company announced in December 2020 that it would halt its trade-in venture from February 1, 2021.

However, soon after its earlier announcement, the company started evaluating its business model and is now back in action. The company rolled out emails to its user base, saying:

Earlier this year, we announced that we will no longer be offering our trade-in option on Gazelle. After careful consideration, including feedback from customers like you, we have decided to keep Gazelle Trade-In going. Today, we are happy to say, ‘We’re back, baby!’

Gazelle Trade-In is a pioneer of the electronics trade-in space and we are happy to continue building on our legacy by offering a simple process and immediate payouts for those unwanted devices.
