Google Chat’s latest update will make it simpler to organize your conversations

As a successor to Google Hangouts, Google Chat has received some useful features recently. Back in April, the web version of the app was updated with a Material Design refresh. With the latest news, Google is all set to launch another update for the app that is focused on hiding inactive chats and spaces on the left side of the screen.

As per the announcement made by the company on its Workspace blog, this update will bring additions that will direct messages and spaces that are inactive or hidden from the user’s view. All this information will be available by tapping on the More button in the latest update.

However, we can say that to enable this feature, there must be more than 10 conversations in the space. And if there are any less than that, the users will remain uninformed about the update. Along with those pinned conversations, this feature won’t hide them. The focus of providing this feature is to provide quick and easy access to the chat among an extensive list of names populating the screen.

This latest feature might be available within the coming weeks for both workspace and personal Google account holders. Although there aren’t any specific toggles that must be moved to acquire the feature, it will be easily available for all users.
