Google Fi eSIM support will be extended to these Samsung smartphones

Back with the release of the Pixel 2 series, the tech company Google introduced Google Fi eSIM support. Later the support for eSIM was extended to Pixel 3 and 3a, Pixel 4 series, and ultimately across all Pixel devices. As of now, the tech company has announced that it is extending the eSIM support across some Galaxy smartphones.

In addition to the Pixel smartphones, the Pixel smartwatches have support for eSIM. It was just restricted to Pixel devices. But now, it appears that Google is all set to introduce the feature across various other devices. The information is based on an update on the support page of Google. As per this source, Google Fi support will soon be introduced to various Galaxy smartphones.

One thing to notice here is that in order to access Google Fi support the device must be based on Android 13 with One UI 5.0 out of the box or above. The smartphones introduced by Samsung that will receive the support for Google Fi are listed below:

  • Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22 Ultra
  • Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra
  • Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy S20 Ultra
  • Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Flip 3

The process of eSIM activation is quite easy. if you own any one of the above-mentioned devices, just go to the Play Store. Make sure that your device is connected to the internet. Download the Google Fi app. Sign In if you already have an account or Sign Up for a new one. Hit the Continue button in case you have an account. Google Fi will be activated. Now you no longer need to rely on physical SIM.

Furthermore, it is uncertain whether the support will be extended across other Samsung devices or not. Where we can clearly witness that Galaxy Z Fold 3 is not included in the above list.
