Google introduces minor updates to Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, and Classroom

The portfolio of Workspace productivity apps by tech company Google consists of Docs, Sheets, Slides, and others. The company tends to release fresh updates for these apps to improve service quality. Just recently, Sheets receive 11 new features. These features were particularly introduced for users who utilize cloud-based mathematical software. As of now, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drawings are next in the queue to receive another minor yet meaningful update. The fresh update will present the users with more control over color selection.

Over the weekend, the company mentioned on the Workspace Updates Blog that the above-mentioned apps will receive a new color palette box. the new palette box will substitute the already presented box. The currently presented color palette box is basic. The redesigned version is larger. It consists of a conventional eye dropper tool and dedicated boxes. The boxes can be used to enter individual RGBA values. As of now, the feature will be introduced to Rapid Release domains. Whereas Scheduled Release domains will receive the feature from February 15 onwards.

In addition to this, the company has introduced some updates for Classroom. The new update allows the teachers and students to comment on threads. They will be sent via an email notification directly within the email app. This new update will be time-saving since it reduces the time to respond.  The new update has started rolling out. However, it might require some days to arrive for everyone. The new update is presented to personal Google account holders as well as customers of Education Fundamentals, Education Plus, Education Standard, and the Teaching and Learning Upgrade edition.

Furthermore, the Sheets apps will receive four new features. These include COUNTBLANK, ROWS, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP. These new updates will be quite helpful for users who use the app to analyze and compare BigQuery data. The new updates are to present to every Workspace user and personal account holder. Whereas the customers of the G Suite Basic and Business plans are not included in this list.
