Google Tasks gets the Material You makeover

And just when we thought Google was finished with its Material You makeover, we discovered another one that’s missing. For a few months, Google has been adding design aesthetics and beautifying its applications. According to Android Police, Google Task will now be updated with the Material You treatment.

The Google app and Google Chat were updated and redesigned with the Material You aesthetic. These apps now have a bubbled look that is similar to other applications related to Google. This feature makes all applications consecutive and gives Outlook a sense of consistency between these applications.

Google Tasks is your best friend if you like to keep your tasks organized. As it’s one of the best services provided by Google. You can organize your tasks and see them on the calendar or in the reminder bar if you schedule them with a date and time.

Material Design has been used to update the app’s appearance. In the previous version of the app, there was a hamburger-style menu bar on the left and a three-dot menu on the right. You can see a circular task button in the middle of your screen with options of red, blue, green, and yellow bars with the + symbol.

In the update, the colour of the bottom bar will match the theme that you have set up for the app. Three options will be available on the left side of your screen, along with the button for adding a new task on the right side. The button shape has been altered from a circle to a rounded square.

Most of the icons have been updated to a rounded square shape. When you open the keypad for adding new tasks, you can see that its corners are rounded, and the keyboard will also be similar to the theme you have set up for the app. All of the buttons will be available in the same place.

The popped-up calendar will also be similar to your theme and will be designed in a square shape with rounded corners. All the icons are aesthetically developed into rounded shapes.

The update will be available for your device soon. You can check for the update on the Google Play Store. You will probably have to wait a few days to get access to these latest features.
