Huawei Announces Three New Devices

Huawei has announced three new phones and a new chipset. Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5i are the three devices announced by Huawei and the chipset is 7nm Kirin 810.
The announcement has been made following Huawei’s uncertain future outside of China. Google recently suspended the Android license of Huawei so it is unclear as to how long Huawei phones will have Android updates. Also it is unknown as to how long Huawei phones will be given access to the Google Play Store if they are launched outside of China.
Nova 5 phone can have the new Kirin 810 chipset while Nova 5 Pro will have the flagship Kirin 980 processor that is also available in Huawei P30 Pro and Mate 20.

The new Kirin 810 chipset has 8 cores. Two of the 980’s high-performance cores are replaced with the energy-efficient small cores. As the chip designer has cut ties with Huawei last month, it seems that this will be Huawei’s last ARM-designed chip.
Nova 5 will be equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and Nova 5 Pro will have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. They both have the same display of 6.39-inch OLED with a small waterdrop notch.
