Huawei introduces the new foldable smartphone: Pocket S for just $829

P50 Pocket by Huawei was launched last year. P50 Pocket is a high-end foldable smartphone. Last year it served as a big competitor to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G. but, as of this year, things have changed. Instead of introducing a successor to the P50 Pocket, Huawei has decided to come up with a different strategy. In order to compete with the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Huawei is planning to introduce its new flagship smartphone at much cheaper rates compared to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Huawei Pocket S is the new affordable foldable smartphone. It is available at a starting price of $829. Not only that it is less expensive as compared to Galaxy Z Flip 4 but it is among the most affordable foldable smartphone in the market.

The new foldable smartphone by Huawei, Huawei Pocket S, has the following features:

The always-on display on the outer screen is customizable. The sad news is that the Pocket S doesn’t support connectivity for 5G. it is due to the sanctions put on Huawei by the US. Although, it is a very bad factor when it comes to a smartphone available at just $829 in this era. Owing to the software, Huawei supports Harmony OS 3.0 as a replacement for Android. Thus, indicating that smartphones will initially be available in China. Further, it has pre-loaded apps for local customers.

Huawei says that there’s also an ultra-thin bendable graphite sheet inside the smartphone for improved cooling.

Compared to the elegant patterns and gradients of the Pocket P50, the Pocket S has a simple and plain design. Additionally, it is available in five distinct colors ranging from black, ice crystal blue, rose pink, gold yellow to mint green.
