Xiaomi has already launched the Mi MIX Fold last month in its home country. The phone after making its debut in China is going global. And we know that India loves Xiaomi’s smartphones and so does the company, which means that this new smartphone is soon coming to India.
According to tipster Mukul Sharma, this foldable smartphone was recently spotted on the IMEI database with model number M2011J18G. Although we don’t know the date when this device would arrive in India, we expect it soon in the country.
We also know that Xiaomi is prepping up for the Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11X series launch in India on April 23. Though we don’t expect the company would also launch the Mi MIX Fold in this event we expect it could come in the next few weeks.
Now let’s move towards the specifications of the phone. This Xiaomi foldable smartphone is said to come with an n-wards folding 8.1-inch WQHD+ AMOLED screen with a 2480 x 1860 resolution. There’s no hole-punch cutout for the front camera in the inner screen. Then it would also feature Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support.
The outside screen is a 6.52-inch 90Hz cover display, having a 2520 x 840 resolution, 700 nits brightness, and Dolby Vision support. There’s a hole-punch cutout for the front camera sensor at the top-right corner of the cover display.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood, paired with a 12GB + 256GB configuration, and has a 5,020 mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging support.
There is a triple-camera setup at the backside with a 108MP f/1.8 primary sensor, an 8MP F/2.77 tele-macro lens with a 30x zoom, and a 13MP ultrawide lens with a 123-degree field of view.
Then there’s a Harmon Kardon-tuned quad-speaker setup on the top and bottom edges. The Mi MIX Fold also comes with Xiaomi’s custom Surge C1 chip.
According to our source, this Xiaomi foldable phone uses a non-magnetic steel plate for the hinge, which means you could fold it as many time as you like.
Coming to the price, the Mi Mix Fold comes for CNY 9,999 (nearly INR 1,11,747) for the 12GB + 256GB storage configuration.
