Intel Overclocking and tuning tool launches support for Windows 11 22H2

With a new update to the Extreme Tuning Utility, XTU for short, Intel now provides an update with support for Windows 11 22H2. This means that the tool is now ready for the next major Windows update. The Intel Extreme Tuning Utility is now available in version 7.8.0.21. The tool allows tweaking of Intel processors such as overclocking or under-volting.

There are also other interesting extras for manually fine-tuning. The highlight of the latest version is support for Windows 11 version 22H2, also known as Sun Valley 2 (SV2). But that’s not all the new version has to offer. The new XTU release includes the suite of Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB) related optimizations for future platforms, hinting at 13th Gen Raptor Lake support. known issues

According to Intel, there are still some known issues. In certain system configurations, Core Isolation Memory Integrity, Hyper-V, and Virtual Machine State are not compatible with XTU. Anyone who has activated these features cannot currently use the tool. If the Windows Smart App Control feature is enabled, installing and/or running XTU may result in another error in Windows execution. In these cases, the user can reboot the system and run the XTU installer or application again. Intel is already working with Microsoft to fix the bug.
