All iPhone models have larger batteries than their predecessors. It might not be that worthy, but it’s here.
iPhone 15 model contains larger batteries compared to last year
Information regarding this has been revealed via the Chinese regulatory database. The iPhone 15 comes with a 3,349 mAh battery; the iPhone 15 Plus has a 4,383 mAh battery; the iPhone 15 Pro has a 3,274 mAh battery; and the iPhone Pro Max variant has a 4,422 mAh battery.
Now, the battery capacities for the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max are 3,279 mAh, 4,325 mAh, 3,200 mAh, and 4,323 mAh, respectively. This translates to an increase in battery capacity for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max of 70 mAh, 58 mAh, 74 mAh, and 99 mAh, respectively. Out of these four phones, the iPhone 15 Pro Max received the most noticeable upgrade, as you can see.
Although it would be preferable to see larger bumps, these advancements are nonetheless nice to behold. Particularly on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the battery life wasn’t quite stellar.
We can hope for latest SoC to make an important difference
In actuality, the new models have an entirely new SoC that ought to be more power-efficient; perhaps that, along with these little battery increases, will be sufficient. If not, it will be incredibly disappointing. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see. Although the phones have been released, no reviews have yet been published. When it comes to charging, Apple advises using a 20-watt charger.
In other words, the charge is unchanged from the models from the previous year. You continue to receive 15W wireless and 20W wired charging. Once again, a charger is not included in the box with the phones, so you will need to purchase one separately.
