As of now, there are no details about the new subscription prices. In addition to this information, early in October, The Wall Street Journal also reported that the platform would soon increase the prices of its subscription tiers. The report claims that it was followed by the discontinuation of the Hollywood actors’ strike. It is anticipated to take place in the next few weeks.

It will be the second time that we will observe a price increase in 20 months

Back in March 2022, the platform changed the price of its subscription tiers. At the moment, there are three different Netflix streaming plans, including Standard with ads, Standard, and Premium. They are priced at $6.99/month, $15.49/month, and $19.99/month, respectively.

In 2023, the company will begin cracking down on password sharing. Such an approach by the company prevented over 100 million users from accessing Netflix services. Although this move was not well appreciated, the company was able to gain six million new subscribers by June 2023. Such a move appeared to increase the company’s revenue by huge profits. According to The Wall Street Journal, this year the company is going to implement the strongest quarterly subscriber addition.
