The latest flagship smartphone by Meizu debuted today in China. Reportedly, the Meizu 21 comes with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and some amazing features. In this short piece, we will briefly take a look at the features of the Meizu 21.
The smartphone features a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and FHD+ resolution. The symmetrical side and top bezels of the smartphone measure 1.74mm. In auto mode, the smartphone goes up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness. The smartphone is offered in four different colors, including purple, black, green, and white. The white-colored variant comes with color-matched white-screen bezels. Well, this is quite rare.
Given the fact that the Meizu 21 is a flagship smartphone that debuted in 2023, it was destined to feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It comes with 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage. The Meizu 20’s metal camera rings are still present on the rear, but Samsung’s ISOCELL HP3, a 1/1.4-inch big sensor with an f/1.69 aperture and OIS, powers the 200MP primary camera.
Accompanying the primary camera are the 13MP ultrawide lens and a 5MP portrait camera unit. You can set the RGB ring flash to flash a predefined color or pattern when you receive notifications. The smartphone is IP54-rated. It packs a 4,800 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.
It comes with FlymeOS 10.5 based on Android 13. In addition to this, it has support for Flyme Auto, which is the company’s in-car infotainment system. It works with the Lynk & Co. 08 electric SUV from Meizu parent company Geely, which is the first car to enable FlymeAuto. When it comes to electric vehicles, the company intends to debut a Meizu DreamCar MX vehicle in Q1 2024.
The 8/256GB trim of Meizu 21 is priced at CNY 3,399 ($480) whereas the 12/512GB variant is available for CNY 3,999($565). Besides this, the company claims that all the units of Meizu 21 will come with an additional 36-month warranty. The open sales of the smartphone will begin next week on December 5.
